How Can I Delete All of My Git Stashes at Once?

Updated on June 24, 2024

To delete all of your Git stashes at once, you can use the git stash clear command. This command removes all stashed changes from the stash stack. Here's how to use it:

git stash clear

Running this command will permanently delete all stashed changes, and you won't be able to recover them. Therefore, make sure you no longer need any of the stashed changes before executing this command.

Note:

  • git stash clear is irreversible, and it permanently deletes all stashed changes from the stash stack.
  • If you only want to remove specific stashes from the stash stack, you can use git stash drop followed by the stash index or label to remove individual stashes.
