Where Are Docker Images Stored on the Host Machine?
If you want to have a quick look at where is Docker storing your Docker images, you can use the docker info command:
docker info
Output:

Storage Driver: <driver-name>
Docker Root Dir: /var/lib/docker
...
Among other information, it will display the storage drive on which the images are stored and the actual directory on the drive, where you can find those images.
The storage location of Docker images and containers
The storage location depends on the operating system you are using Docker on. Here is a list of the storage locations of the docker images on different operating systems:
